Juneteenth: Today is a Good Day

June 7, 2024

Today is a day that the world remembers a step taken in the direction toward liberty and justice…

But like I’ve said again and again, our eating is not equal. Not only does racism abound in our cities, our schools, and our neighborhoods — but its hands stretch into our kitchens and onto our plates.

We’ve reached an axiomatic state of the purest need - black communities are hurting, dying due to lack of access and nutrition freedoms that most Americans take for granted.

I won’t stop until food equality is a shining truth in this world. I created Journey Foods to bridge the gap between the modern kitchen and the food desert. We will continue to fight for justice until every person at every dinner table is free.

It is a joyful day - and know that we are here to fight with you.

Stay Safe & Be Well,

Riana

The Renewed Tradition and Inclusion of Jerk in Packaged Food

Jerk cooking, rooted in Jamaican culture, features a distinctive blend of spices like allspice and Scotch bonnet peppers, traditionally used to preserve and flavor meats. Its popularity has led to a variety of packaged jerk products, making these bold flavors accessible globally. Journey Foods harnesses advanced technology to offer nutritious and sustainable jerk-flavored products, bridging cultural heritage with modern convenience.
